NewAge sells matching sets of welded cabinets with worktops, from its own site. Husky's welded cabinets come from Home Depot and arrive assembled. Here's who each brand suits, with the details below.

Pick NewAge if

  • You want a whole wall of matching cabinets topped with bamboo or stainless steel.12 The Husky listings we read don't include a worktop.
  • You want the most weight in one tall cabinet. Pro 3.0's 36 in. locker is rated for 1,000 lb3 in total, more than either Husky cabinet.
  • You want to know how thick the steel is. NewAge lists 18 gauge4 for Pro 3.0 and 24 gauge1 for Bold 3.0. Husky's Heavy Duty listing gives two different gauges.5

Pick Husky if

  • You'd rather not assemble anything. Both Husky cabinets arrive assembled.56
  • You want the simplest warranty claim. Husky's lifetime warranty is a full one: "bring it back and we will replace it for free".7
  • You'll load each shelf heavily. Husky's Heavy Duty cabinet is rated for 350 lb5 per shelf, more than either NewAge locker.

Cabinet dimensions

Pro 3.0's locker and Husky's Heavy Duty cabinet are both 24 in.4 deep, which matters if the cabinets go beside a parked car. Husky's Regular Duty cabinet is 19.6 in.6 deep and Bold 3.0's locker is 18 in.9 deep.

NewAge's listed heights don't include the adjustable legs. With them, Bold 3.0's locker stands 75.25 to 76.75 in. tall and Pro 3.0's stands 83.25 in.94 Measure under your garage door track and opener before you order.

Warranties

Husky's warranty chart gives garage cabinets a lifetime "full warranty". Husky is sold only at Home Depot, and its warranty runs through Home Depot stores.7

NewAge's lifetime warranty is limited to household use. It doesn't cover scratches or dents that don't affect how the cabinet works, labor, or commercial use.8 Pro 3.0's warranty also excludes corrosion.3 To make a claim, contact NewAge, not the store, with your proof of purchase.8
